SAMBA, Oct 20: Two people lost their lives while three others were injured in separate road accidents here.
As per reports, an accident occurred near Gurha Morh in Vijaypur in which a woman was killed when a motorcycle was hit by an unknown vehicle.
The woman suffered serious injuries and was shifted to Vijaypur Hospital where she was declared dead by the doctors.
She has been identified as Geeta Devi, 25, wife of Sandeep Kumar resident of Haryana.
After post-mortem, body of the deceased was handed over to her relatives for last rites.
In another accident at Kali Bari area, a young boy was killed.
As per reports body of a young man was found under suspicious circumstances along railway track and it was brought to District Hospital Samba where after post-mortem it was handed over to the relatives of the deceased for last rites.
The deceased has been identified as 27 year old Pintu Sangral son of Tara Mani resident of Madhera Samba. Police has registered a case in this regard and started investigation.
In yet another accident, two youths were seriously injured after a car hit a motorcycle in Ghagwal area of Samba district.
Both were rushed to Ghagwal hospital from where doctors referred them to District Hospital Samba.
The duo was riding a motorcycle and while crossing the road at Tapyal morh they were hit by a speedy car leaving both the youth seriously injured.
Driver of the car escaped from the spot with car.
The injured were identified as Nehal Bharadwaj son Narendra Kumar Mishra, resident of Bihar and Asif son Mohammad Rahim, resident of Kishtwar.
Both were working with NHAI.
Police has registered a case and started investigations.
Meanwhile, a woman was injured after falling from a bus in Maheshwar area of Samba.
She was shifted to District Hospital Samba where she was undergoing treatment. She has been identified as 62 year old Shushila Jasrotia wife Jagpal Singh resident Sanura.
