JAMMU, July 28: Two persons including a minor girl were killed while two others were injured in a wall collapse at Top Sherkhanian area of city outskirts.
According to a police spokesperson, a migrant worker namely Harkanto Rai Burman and his 6-years old daughter, Santana, were killed while his nine years-old son namely Ravinder Rai Burman and another migrant worker identified as Sukal Burman were injured when a stretch (15 feet in length) of the fencing wall of Royal Estate Banquet Hall, adjacent to their work place, Sanjeev Plywood Factory, Toph Sherkhanian, suddenly collapsed this evening about 4 pm.
All the deceased and the injured persons were residents of West Bengal and presently working and living at Sanjeev Plywood Factory, Top Sherkhanian.
The injured were shifted to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), Jammu for treatment while the bodies of the deceased were shifted to mortuary room of the hospital for conducting post mortem tomorrow.
A case under relevant sections has been registered at police station Bakshi Nagar.
