JAMMU, July 28: Jhajjar Kotli police arrested a man hailing from Punjab for molesting a foreign tourist here today.
As per police sources, a written complaint was lodged by a tourist girl hailing from Washington, USA with police station Jhajjar Kotli that a man namely Gopal Krishan, son of Prem Nath of Hoshiarpur, Punjab molested her, when she was on her way to Jammu from Srinagar in a bus of J&K SRTC bearing registration number JK02Y-0506.
Acting swiftly on the complaint, police team from Jhajjar Kotli police station nabbed the accused.
A case under FIR Number 80/15 under Section 354 RPC has been registered against the accused at police station Jhajjar Kotli and investigation started.
Police team led by SHO Jhajjar Kotli police station Inspector Ravinder Singh made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO Nagrota Bharat Bhushan Sharma and Incharge SSP Jammu Rajiv Pandey.
