Two JK racketeers held in Patiala

PATIALA, June 25:
Patiala police today claimed that it has busted an interstate gang involved in the circulation of fake currency and seized Rs 27.05 lakhs fake currency from their possession.
Police has arrested two persons indetified as Ravi Kamar and Abhishek alias Dimpy, both from Jammu and Kashmir, on June 19 and recovered fake currency worth Rs 3.80 lakhs from them, SSP Gurpreet Singh Gill said here.
He said on the information provided by the arrested duo, police later arrested Vishnu Saha and Osham Saha, both residents of Malda district of West Bengal, and also recovered fake currency worth Rs 23.25 lakhs.
Police has registered the case under sections of 420, 489-B (Using as genuine, forged or counterfeit currency-notes or bank-notes), 489-C (Possession of forged or counterfeit currency-notes or bank-notes) and 120 IPC against all of them, he added. (UNI)
