Two held with heroin, sharp edged weapon

JAMMU, Jan 24: Jammu Police today arrested two peddlers from different locations and recovered 9 grams of heroin and a sharp edged weapon from their possession.
“A team of Police Post Pounichak led by Sub Inspector Ram Rattan (Incharge Police Post Pounichak) rounded up a suspect namely Santosh Kumar son of Darshan Lal, resident of Gho Manhasa and on search recovered 5 grams of heroin wfrom his possession,” a Police spokesman said, adding, a case FIR Number 36/2023 U/S 8/21/22 NDPS Act was registered in this connection at Police Station Domana and the accused arrested.
Similarly, he said, a team of Police Station Miran Sahib constituted under the supervision of SDPO RS Pura Surinder Singh and led by SHO Miran Sahib Inspector Zaheer Mushtaq rounded up a suspect namely Baldev Raj son of Kalu Ram, resident of Blanday Kothey (Bishnah), when he was going from Langotian towards Miran Sahib.
“During search, 4 grams of heroin and one sharp edged weapon was recovered from the possession of the accused. In this regard, a case FIR Number 21/2023 U/S 8/21/22 NDPS Act, 4/25 Arms Act was registered at Police Station Miran Sahib and the accused got arrested,” the spokesman said, adding, further investigation of the case was going on.
