JAMMU, Feb 26: Rajouri Police today arrested two suspects and recovered fake currency from their possession at Manjakote. They were travelling towards Rajouri in a TATA Sumo.
SSP Rajouri Mubassir Latifi identified the arrested persons as Basharat Khan son of Mehboob Alam, a resident of Uchad, Mendhar and Mohammad Irshad son of Mohammad Rafiq, a resident of Dhaki, Mendhar.
They were heading towards Rajouri in TATA Sumo No. 3829 JK12, which was intercepted by police at Manjakote. Police seized the vehicle and seized the fake currency from the accused.
From the possession of Mohammad Irshad, police recovered Rs 67,875 including Rs 43,000 fake currency while from Basharat Khan, police seized Rs 19,790, of which, Rs 2500 were fake.
Police was questioning the accused and investigating the case from all angles. A case has been registered against the accused.
