Two held with 1 kg opium-like substance from Miran Sahib

JAMMU, May 15: Two women drug peddlers were arrested with 1 kilogram of opium-like substance from Miran Sahib Area here today, officials said.
Pooja Rathore of Bhilwara, Rajasthan and Anita Kanwar of Bhakliya, Bhilwara, Rajasthan were arrested with one packet of opium-like substance weighing around one kilogram during routine patrolling duty on the Ring Road in Miran Sahib Area, they said.
Accordingly, officials said the accused women peddlers were booked under the relevant sections of the NDPS Act.
Meanwhile, further investigation has been set into the motion to trace the backward and forward linkages of the arrested peddlers, they said.
