SRINAGAR, July 12: For dereliction of duties, two officials of Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) unit of PCR Srinagar were today placed under suspension.
The suspended officials, namely Riyaz Ahmad Shah (Lab Assistant) and Showkat Ahmad Bhat (Lab Attendant) have been attached with FSL Headquarters Bemina, Srinagar with immediate effect.
According to Director FSL, Mr Inayatullah, the officials were suspended by him after the duo did not obey his order for collecting samples from the scene of fire at Zum Zum Building near Natipora this morning.
An accidental fire had engulfed the building housing some Government offices last night and the two FSL officials were directed to visit the spot this morning for collection of samples. However, the duo neither visited the spot nor attended the office today following which the Director issued orders for their suspension with immediate effect.
