JAMMU, Nov 23: An 18-year old girl was among two people who hanged themselves to death in separate incidents in this winter capital of the State.
“One Sneha Devi (18) daughter of Sham Singh, a resident of Village Simblewala falling under the jurisdiction of police station Kanachak was found hanging this morning at her residence by the family members,” police here said, adding the body of the deceased was shifted to mortuary room of Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), Jammu for conducting post mortem tomorrow while a case has been registered for further investigations.
Meanwhile, in another incident one Ramandeep Singh (29) son of Harbans Singh, a resident of Bhor Pind (Gadigarh), ended his life by hanging himself. “He was found hanging with the hook of a ceiling fan at his residence early this morning,” police said, adding after completing all medico-legal formalities the body of the deceased was handed over to his legal heirs for last rites.
“We have registered the cases under relevant Sections,” police said and added that no suicide notes were recovered from site of the incident.
