Two drug peddlers nabbed with heroin

JAMMU, Aug 8: Jhajjar Kotli Police arrested two drug peddlers and recovered heroin from their possession.
As per official sources, a team from Police Station Jhajjar Kotli led by SHO Inspector Vikram Sharma under the supervision of SDPO Nagrota Pardeep Kumar laid a naka and intercepted an Alto car bearing registration number JK14C-8618.
During checking, police team recovered 7.25 grams heroin from the possession of two persons travelling in the car and arrested them. The arrested persons were identified as Amit Kumar, son of late Mohan Lal of Manthal (tehsil Tikri, district Udhampur) and Beli Ram, son of Jaro Ram of Jhajjar Kotli (tehsil Dansal, district Jammu).
In this connection, a case FIR Number 194/2022 under section 8/21/22/29 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Jhajjar Kotli and investigation started to ascertain the source of the consignment and other persons involved in this illegal trade.
