Two drug peddlers held

Srinagar, Aug 19: Police today said it have arrested two drug peddlers and recovered contraband substances from their possession in city here.
A police spokesman said that police apprehended two persons identified as Ghulam Nabi Sheikh alias Nabkalla and Mohammad Younis Mir. “On their search, 280 grams of charas contained in 55 packets and amount of Rs 1200 was recovered from their possession,” he said.
The spokesman said that a case under FIR number 62/2017 under section 8/20 was registered and investigation was taken up. “During the course of investigation, it was found that they were selling each pocket for Rs 500 to the youth of the area,” the spokesman added.
