SRINAGAR, Feb 19: Police today said it have arrested two drug peddlers and recovered poppy straw from their possession in South Kashmir’s Kulgam district.
A spokesman said that police laid a check point near Nandi Marg Crossing in D.H Pora area of Kulgam distruct. “During the checking, two persons identified as Showkat Ahmad Bhat and Sabzar Ahmad Malik were intercepted.
“On their checking, four kilograms of poppy straw was recovered from their possession,” he said. The police spokesman added that police have registered a case under FIR number 06/2017 under section 8/25 NDPS Act against them and investigation was taken up.
