JAMMU, May 16: Two drug peddlers have been arrested with intoxicant injections and tablets.
As per police sources, a joint police team of District Special Branch, Jammu led by DySP Zahid Saif Wani and Police Post Panjtirthi led by SI Vinod Sharma apprehended a drug peddler and recovered 725 intoxicant injections.
The accused has been identified as Amit Rana, son of late Bhupinder Singh, a resident of Chougan Slathia, Panjtirthi.
The arrested persons was also involved in two cases registered under FIR Numbers 60/13 under section 323, 341 and 4/25 Arms Act and 114/18 under section 8/21/22 NDPS Act.
A fresh case under FIR Number 82/19 under section 8/21/22 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Pacca Danga and investigation started.
Meanwhile, a joint team of Police Station Kishtwar led by Inspector Suraj Pathania and Police Post Hidyal led by SI Rajesh Kumar conducted raid and arrested a person along with 6000 intoxicant tablets.
The arrested persons have been identified as Naved Malik, son of Abdul Rashid, a resident of Maliknar Chatroo District Kishtwar.
A case under FIR Number 94/19 under section 8/21/22 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Kishtwar against the accused person and investigation started.
