Two drug peddlers arrested with heroin, cannabis

RAMBAN, Feb 8: Chanderkote Police under ‘Operation Sanjeevani’ arrested two drug peddlers and recovered 6 grams heroin and 32 grams cannabis from their possession.
As per police sources, on specific information a team from Police Station Chanderkote laid a naka and intercepted a Maruti Swift Dzire car bearing registration number JK19-6060, which was plying from Chanderkote towards Ramban.
During checking, police team recovered 6 grams heroin and 32 grams cannabis from the possession of two persons travelling in the car and arrested them.
The arrested persons were identified as Abdul Nasir Bali, son of Ghulam Mohammad Bali of Pogal, Tehsil Pogal Paristan, District Ramban and Mohammad Rafi, son of Firoz Din of Kunfer, Chanderkote, District Ramban.
A case FIR Number 13/2022 under Section 8/20/21/22 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Chanderkote and investigation set into motion.
Police team led by SHO Chanderkote Inspector Afzal Wani made the arrest under the supervision of DySP Headquarters Ramban Pardeep Singh Sen and SP Ramban Mohita Sharma.
