Two drug peddlers arrested with heroin

JAMMU, Oct 2: Janipur Police arrested two drug peddlers and recovered heroin from their possession.
As per police sources, on specific information regarding movement of drug peddlers, a team from Police Station Janipur led by SHO Inspector Nayat Ali under the supervision of SDPO West Rahul Nagar and SP City Mohita Sharma laid a naka near Paloura and asked two persons to stop as they were moving under suspicious circumstances and were trying to evade checking.
On seeing police cops, the persons tried to escape, but cops intercepted them after a brief chase.
During checking, police team recovered around 22 grams heroin from the possession of the persons and arrested them.
The arrested persons were identified as Mohinder, son of Tarsam Lal of Miran Sahib District Jammu and Aman Jamwal, son of Jagdish Singh of Subash Nagar District Jammu.
A case FIR Number 107/2021 under Section 8/21/22 Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act case has been registered against the arrested persons at Police Station Janipur and investigation started to ascertain the source of the consignment and other persons involved in this illegal trade.
