Two drug peddlers arrested with contraband

JAMMU, Jan 6: Domana and Hidayal Police arrested two drug peddlers and recovered contraband from their possession.
As per police sources, on specific information a team from Police Station Domana led by SHO Inspector Mahesh Sharma and assisted by ASI Anwar Hussain under the supervision of SDPO Domana Sunil Singh and SP Rural Sanjay Sharma laid a naka and apprehended a drug peddler along with 100 grams cannabis.
The arrested person was identified as Narinder Sharma, son of Dev Raj of Sazadpur, Tehsil Marh, District Jammu.
A case under FIR Number 05/2022 under Section 8/20 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Domana and investigation started.
Meanwhile, a team from Police Post Hidayal led by ASI Daleep under the supervision of DySP Headquarters Kishtwar Satish Kumar arrested a drug peddler along with 75 intoxicant tablets and 29 intoxicant capsules.
The accused has been identified as Safeer Ali, son of Anayat Ali Ganie of Malipath District Kishtwar.
A case under FIR Number 04/2022 under relevant sections of NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Kishtwar and investigation taken up.
