Two drug peddlers arrested with cannabis, heroin

JAMMU, May 30: Jourian and Hiranagar police arrested two drug peddlers and recovered cannabis and heroin from their possession.
As per police sources, during patrolling a team from Police Post Jourian led by SI Sudesh Kumar arrested a drug peddler and recovered 45.40 grams cannabis from his possession.
The arrested person has been identified as Rajinder Singh, son of Suram Singh of Ward Number 4, Khour.
A case under FIR Number 116/19 under section 8/20 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Akhnoor and investigation started.
Meanwhile, a team from Hiranagar Police Station led by SHO Inspector JJ Singh arrested a person and recovered 6 grams heroin from his possession.
The accused has been identified as Lal Hussain alias Lalu, son of Mohammad Din, a resident of Mangloor Dyalachak.
A case under FIR Number 67/19 under section 8/21/22 NDPS Act has been registered at Hiranagar Police Station and investigation into the case is going on.
