Two drug peddlers arrested with 450 Tablets of Tapentadol, Tramadol

RAJOURI, May 21: In a major crackdown on drug trafficking the Rajouri Police apprehended two persons and seized substantial quantity of banned narcotic substances during a Naka at Mehra Nagrota area of Police Station Rajouri.
The team led by SHO inspector Abid Hussain Shah during the routine patrolling, when reached near Mehra Morh area, intercepted two persons who tried to hide their presence and acted suspiciously on seeing the police party.
The accused persons were identified as Ajaz Muneer S/o Muneer Hussain R/o Tarkasi Kotranka Rajouri and Tariq Hussain S/o Khadim Hussain R/o Atti Rajouri.
During their personal search police recovered 450 tramadol and tapentadol banned tablets from their possession. In this regard a case FIR No. 253/2025 under relevant sections NDPS Act was registered at PS Rajouri.
The accused have been arrested on the spot and the recovered contraband has been seized as evidence.
