JAMMU, July 26: In separate cases, two persons including an Army jawan died today under mysterious circumstances in city outskirts.
According to a police official, one Chandu (35) son of Govardhan, resident of Ahmedabad, Gujarat (at present living at Bari Brahmana, Jammu) was found lying in unconscious condition at Yard Number 4, Truck Adda, Narwal. “He was immediately rushed to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), Jammu, where doctors declared him as brought dead,” the official added.
He further informed that an Army official named Naik B K Mishra son of late Birender Mishra of Bihar was found dead under mysterious circumstances in his unit 7016 at Nagrota. “The dead body was shifted to mortuary room of GMCH Jammu and after postmortem, it will be handed over to Army authorities,” he added.
The official said that inquest proceeding under 174 CrPC was initiated in both the cases by the concerned police.
