UDHAMPUR, Oct 25: Two persons were killed and two others injured when a Maruti (Alto) car rolled down into a gorge near Mansar Morh in Krimachi area of Udhampur district today.
Reports said a new without number Alto car, was on its way from Mansar to Pancheri. The people on board were going to attend a marriage function. But near Mansar Morh, the driver lost control over the vehicle and it rolled down into a deep gorge.
Police and locals rushed to the spot and took the injured persons to District Hospital Udhampur. Two of them were declared brought dead.
The deceased were identified as Amit Sharma (34), son of Naseeb Raj, resident of Mada in Chenani and Pankaj Sharma (31), son of Kaka Ram of Mand- Panchari, posted at Ramnagar in Horticulture department.
The injured were identified as Narinder Sharma (30), son of Brij Mohan of Ramkote and Vicky (23), son of Des Raj of Pancheri. The police has registered a case and started investigation.
