Two days guest lecture titled ‘Unbundling Leadership Potential’ commences

JAMMU, Mar 26: “Discovering one’s vision and values lead towards the purpose of life and it is not important to focus on what other people are doing but it is important to focus on what we are doing”, said Prof Ramnath Narayanswamy, Professor of Economics and Social Sciences, IIM Bangaluru.
He stated this during two days guest lecture titled “Unbundling Leadership Potential”, being organized by Jammu and Kashmir Police at police auditorium, Gulshan Ground here today.
Prof Ramnath Narayanswamy was the guest speaker during the lecture. Dr Ashok Bhan, DGP (Retd), SJM Geelani, Director Vigilance, Mohammad Sulaiman Salaria, Director SKPA Udhampur, JP Singh, IGP (Pers) PHQ, Surinder Kumar, Director SSG, Alok Kumar, IGP Security, J&K, Anand Jain, IGP (Hqrs) PHQ, galaxy of police officers, 30 KAS probationers from J&K IMPA with faculty, faculty and students from Business School, Jammu University and Central University Jammu attended the guest lecture.
Prof Ramnath Narayanswamy also quoted various personalities including Swami Vivekananda, Mahatma Gandhi and Steve Jobs for achieving greater success despite facing failure on occasions. Giving various examples of his vast experience, Prof Ramnath had a lively interaction with the students and participants.
Earlier, while welcoming the guests, VK Singh, Special DGP (Hqrs) PHQ said that it is a great honour and privilege for Jammu and Kashmir Police to have Prof Ramnath Narayanswamy here.
“I had the rare opportunity of attending a five-day course at IIM Bangaluru on ‘Creativity, Reinvention and Self -Development for Practicing Managers’ which was conducted by Prof Ramnath”, he stated.
Special DGP said that he was greatly inspired by expertise of Prof Ramnath Narayanswamy on leadership. He also gave a detailed career introduction of Dr Ramnath Narayanswamy. The guest lecture will continue tomorrow as well, he stated.
