JAMMU, May 17: The two-day Technical Festival “Nirvikalpa” was inaugurated today at Yogananda College of Engineering & Technology (YCET), a prestigious technical institute of Jamwal Group of Educational Institutions (JGEI).
The chief guest of the inauguration function was Prof Keshav Sharma, Registrar, University of Jammu, who was felicitated by Er Vidhi S Singh, Chairman, JGEI, Shiv Dev Singh Jamwal, Vice Chairman, JGEI and Er Renu Bangroo, Managing Director, JGEI.
Dr Seema Narain, Director, YCET presented the welcome address and highlighted the salient features of the Technical Fest.
Prof Keshav Sharma, in his illuminating speech, called upon the budding engineers to stay focused and bring laurels for themselves, their alma mater and the country. He appreciated the sincere and fantabulous efforts of the Management and the Director for organizing this gala event.
A number of Government and private engineering colleges and other institutions from J&K participated in the technical festival. The events were conducted under four categories, i.e. Sampark, Kalpana, Utsukta and Kaushal, each displaying its uniqueness and electrifying intensity.
The tech fest was marked by display of talent, skills and competitive spirit shown by participants. The Sufi Band ‘Raeth’, which has significant performance in Bollywood movies and songs, and has performed in a number of Technical institutions of repute in India including IIT, Kanpur and IIT, Mandi, mesmerized the audience with soulful Sufi music.
The inaugural function concluded with the vote of thanks by Er Neeraj Pandita.
