Two-day seminar for Dogri research scholars concludes

JAMMU, June 18: A two-day seminar for young research scholars of Dogri, concluded here today. Organized by Dogri Sanstha,  the seminar, titled ‘Dogri language and Literature: contemporary Research references,’ provided platform to twenty young talented scholars of Jammu University to present their research papers on various genera of Dogri literature.
In the first session ,which was presided over by Dr  Ashok Khajuria, six papers were presented by Deepika Mehra, Shamsher Lal, Sheetal Sharma, Deepika Sharma, Sushma Kumari and Preeti Rachna.
In the second session,  Vaishno Devi, Manu Sharma, Radha Sharma, Jagmohan Sharma and Savita Sharma read out their research paper on various  research oriented topics. The session was presided over by Dr  Bansi Lal.
Earlier, the Director of Seminar  Dr  Veena Gupta,  prominent littérateur and former HoD Dogri Jammu University,  called upon the research scholars  to continue their effort and regularly  participate in literary programmes to  refine their talent .  All the research papers shall be published in a special issue of  ‘Nami Chetna’, she said .
The sessions were ably conducted by Dr Nirmal Vinod, general secretary of  Dogri Sanstha. Those who were present on this occasion,  included Promila Manhas, Puran  Chander Sharma, Dr  Rajesh Manhas, Deepak Aarsi, Chaman Arora, Sushil Begana and research scholars of Dogri department.
