JAMMU, June 18: International Day against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking” was organized today in Central Jail Jammu Kot Bhalwal by the Narcotics Control Bureau Zonal Unit Jammu for the prisoners as well as jail staff.
The objective of the programme was to create awareness among the inmates and staff about the ill effects of drug abuse and illicit trafficking.
The programme was organized under the guidance of Director General of Police, Prisons J&K Dr. S. P. Vaid.
The artists of Nav Durga Kala Manch Jammu presented Nukkad Natak and skits based on the subject.
The Officers and Officials of Narcotics Control Bureau, Jammu Zonal Unit were present on the occasion.
Superintendent Jail, Dinesh Sharma spoke on the importance and objectives of celebrating this day.
