REASI, Mar 31: Under the guidance of Director AYUSH J&K, Dr. Mohan Singh and under the supervision of District Nodal Officer, AYUSH District Reasi, a two day AYUSH festival was held at designated AYUSH Gram Sule.
In the festival, AYUSH Department Reasi organized various awareness programmes wherein people were made aware about the relevance of traditional health care systems in mitigating diseases and disorders especially non-communicable diseases.
On first day, a Yoga and Pranayama workshop was organized wherein Yoga expert Dr. Sonal Bhola, Medical Officer AYUSH demonstrated various Yogic techniques and Pranayama practices for good health for different age group of children.
Dr. Ankita conducted a plantation drive and on the second day of festival and an awareness lecture on importance of Ayush Gram in today’s health scenario was also conducted by a team led by Dr. Arun Gupta, Medical Officer AYUSH Reasi.
The awareness lecture was followed by multi-specialty mega camp wherein 209 patients sought consultations from AYUSH experts and essential medicines were also distributed.
Directorate of AYUSH, J&K has adopted 20 such villages across J&K for implementation of Ayush Gram programme.
