JAMMU, June 4: Two persons allegedly committed suicide by consuming some poisonous substance at their respective residences.
As per reports, a man identified as Rakesh Kumar (30), son of Kamal Lal of Panjtoot consumed some poisonous substance at his residence and was referred to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) from Primary Health Centre (PHC) Pallanwala, yesterday.
He failed to respond to the treatment and breathed his last today.
The body has been handed over to family members for last rites after completing legal formalities.
Meanwhile, Ashok Kumar, son of Inder Ram of RS Pura consumed some poisonous substance at his residence.
Family members shifted him to GMCH where he failed to respond to the treatment and died.
After consuming autopsy, the body was handed over to the family members for last rites.
Cases under relevant Sections stands registered at concerned police stations and investigation started to ascertain the reason behind such extreme step.
