Two Burmese among 3 held in ATM theft

JAMMU, Sept 8: Bahu Fort police today cracked the case regarding attempt to break an ATM, after arresting three persons, including two Burma nationals and a renowned burglar known as “Babloo Chor” from Trikuta Nagar area here.
Police spokesman here said that a written complaint was lodged at Bahu Fort Police Station on September 3, 2020 by Rattan Lal of Jagti, Nagrota, who is a Manager at Info System Limited stating that during intervening night of Sept 2 and 3, some unknown burglars attempted to break open ICICI ATM installed near Baggar Mandi, Trikuta Nagar.
Acting over the complaint, a case under FIR Number 218/2020 under sections 457, 380 and 511 IPC was registered at Bahu Fort Police Station and investigation started.
After strenuous efforts, a team from Bahu Fort Police Station led by Station House Officer Inspector Deepak Pathania apprehended the accused persons.
Those arrested were identified as Babloo Kumar known as “Babloo Chor”, son of Joginder Kumar of Bhagalpur Bihar, presently living in Trikuta Nagar, Jammu, Noor-Ul-Islam, son of Abdul Matlab and his son Hussain Ahmed, residents of Burma, at present living in Marathi Mohalla, Trikuta Nagar Jammu.
On questioning, suspects confessed to their crime and the police team recovered items like modem, cutter with 14 metre wire, steel rod, hammer, knife and blades from their possession.
Police sources also said that both Noor-ul-Islam and Babloo have criminal records and were previously also found involved in narcotics and several cases of theft are registered against them at different police stations.
Further investigation is going on to ascertain the involvements of the criminals in other thefts.
