Two bootleggers arrested

JAMMU, Aug 9: Bishnah police today arrested two bootleggers while selling illicit liquor.
According to a police official, one Rajat Kumar son of Jagdish, resident of Kothe Morh (Bishnah) was held with five litre of illicit desi liquor (made from lahan) while he was selling illegally the same to locals in a field.
“Similarly, a woman identified as Anju Bala wife of Surjit Kumar, resident of Tinde Khurd (Bishnah) was arrested with seven litres of desi liquor while selling the same to people in a secluded place,” the official added.
He said liquor recovered from the bootleggers was seized while two separate FIRs were registered in this connection at police station Bishnah and further investigation initiated.
