Two arrested with snatched mobile phones

JAMMU, Apr 13: Gandhi Nagar police today arrested two persons and recovered snatched mobile phones from their possession.
As per police sources, on April 9 this year, a complaint was lodged by Anwar Hussain, son of Mohammad Mussa of Kargil, at present Karan Nagar Jammu with Police Station Gandhi Nagar stating that two unknown boys snatched mobile phone of his cousin sister near Akash Institute Gandhi Nagar and fled away on a without registration number motorcycle.
Acting over the complaint, a case under FIR Number 92/19 under section 382 RPC was registered at Gandhi Nagar Police Station and hunt was launched to nab the mobile phone snatchers.
During the course of investigation, a number of suspects were rounded up and finally two snatchers were arrested by police team led by SHO Gandhi Nagar Inspector Sunil Singh Jasrotia under the supervision of SDPO South Dr Sunniya Ashkoor Wani.
The arrested snatchers have been identified as Lovish Singh alias Kaka, son of Teja Singh and Balkeet Singh, son of Balbir Singh, both residents of Korotana Kalan Tehsil RS Pura District Jammu.
On their disclosure, police team recovered the snatched mobile phones.
It is pertinent to mention here that the arrested accused were habitual snatchers and were involved in a number of cases of snatching in district Jammu.
