Thief nabbed at Bhawan, 4 mobile phones recovered

KATRA, Apr 13: The Police arrested a thief and recovered five stolen mobile phones from his possession at Mata Vaishnodevi Bhawan today.
A police spokesman said that a pilgrim namely, Rishu Kumar, son of Rajveer Singh hailing from Nuran, Kheras, Sonipat in Haryana lodged a written report at Police Station Bhawan that he along with his friends had come to Bhawan for darshan, and while taking bath at bathing Ghat, he kept 5 mobile phones (including his friends mobile phone) in his bag and went along with them to take bath.
When he returned back, he found all the 5 mobile phones having market value of Rs 40500/ stolen by some one. On this FIR No 10/2018 u/s 379 RPC was registered at P/S Bhawan and investigation started.
The police party led by SHO Insp Arun Singh under the supervision of SDPO Bhawan, S P Modi during naka near Manokamna Bhawan apprehended a suspect namely Santosh Lodhi , son of Shiv Prasad Lodhi , resident of Salari, Devri, Sagar in MP and put him under sustained interrogation. During interrogation, he confessed that he had stolen 5 mobile phones from the bathing Ghat and hide them in a locker Near Gate No 3. All the stolen phones were recovered. The mobile phones were handed over to the owners and further investigation of case is going on.
