JAMMU, Dec 12: Khour police arrested two persons along with illicit liquor.
As per police sources, on specific information, a team from Khour Police Station led by Inspector Balwinder Singh laid a naka at Prangla and intercepted a scooty bearing registration number JK02BT-0844.
During checking, police team recovered 10 bottles and 40 quarters of illicit liquor from the possession of two persons riding on the vehicle and arrested them.
The arrested persons were identified as Angrez Singh, son of Rashal Singh and Uttam Singh, son of Dhanttar Singh, both residents of Bhopur Tehsil Khour.
A case under FIR Number 62/2020 under Section 48-f Excise Act has been registered at Khour Police Station and investigation started.
Police warned that anyone found in possession or selling of liquor in violation of Election Commission guidelines and Excise Act shall be dealt sternly under law.
