JAMMU, Apr 25: Pouni Chak Police arrested two drug peddlers and recovered 95 grams of heroin from their possession.
As per police sources, on specific information a team from Police Post Pouni Chak led by PSI Nitish Khajuria under the supervision of SHO Domana Inspector Mahesh Sharma and SDPO Domana Sunil Singh laid a naka near SOS School and intercepted a vehicle bearing registration number JK02CB-2865. During checking, police team recovered 95 grams of heroin from the possession of the two persons and arrested them.
The arrested persons were identified as Shakeel Ahmad, son of Faiz Mohammad of Shankar Nagar District Jammu and Abid Rashid, son of Mohammad Rashid, a resident of Surankote District Poonch.
A case FIR Number 152/2022 under Section 8/21/22/29 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Domana and investigation started to ascertain the source of the consignment and other persons involved in this illegal trade.
The arrests and recoveries were made under the supervision of SP Rural Sanjay Sharma.
