Two arrested with banned Chinese thread rolls

JAMMU, Aug 5: Akhnoor and Talab Tillo Police arrested two persons along with banned Chinese thread rolls.
As per police sources, a team from Police Station Akhnoor led by SHO Inspector Hilal Azhar under the supervision of SDPO Akhnoor Varun Jandial conducted raid and apprehended a man along with 10 rolls of banned Chinese thread rolls.
The arrested person was identified as Sikander Kumar, son of Om Parkash, a resident of Ward Number 2 Daskal Tehsil Akhnoor District Jammu.
Meanwhile, a team from Police Post Talab Tillo under the supervision of SHO Nowabad Inspector Vijay Kumar and DySP Headquarters Swati Sharma also conducted raid and nabbed a person along with 32 rolls of Chinese thread rolls.
The arrested person was identified as Rakesh Kumar, son of late Banarsi Lal of Bhagwati Nagar District Jammu.
The arrests were made in violation of DM order regarding ban on sale of plastic/synthetic threads.
Cases under relevant sections have been registered at Police Stations Akhnoor and Nowabad and investigation started.
