JAMMU, Aug 16: Gandhi Nagar police arrested two persons for selling banned Chinese threads.
As per police sources, a team from Gandhi Nagar police station led by SHO Inspector Bishnesh Kumar arrested two persons for selling banned kite threads (Chinese strings).
The accused have been identified as Taranjeet Singh, son of Charanjeet Singh and Sarbjit Singh, son of Jaswant Singh, both residents of Digiana. Police recovered 32 and 9 pieces of Chinese strings respectively from their possession
A case under FIR Numbers 190/16 and 191/16 under Section 188 RPC have been registered against the arrested persons at Gandhi Nagar police station and investigation started.
Meanwhile, Pacca Danga police also recovered 61 pieces of Chinese strings and a case under FIR Numbers 106 and 107 have been registered and investigation started.
