KISHTWAR, June 27: Police arrested two persons along with large quantity of illicit liquor pouches.
As per police sources, a team from Kishtwar police station intercepted two persons for checking, as they were moving under suspicious circumstances.
During checking, police recovered 79 pouches of illicit liquor from the possession of the persons and arrested them on the spot.
The accused have been identified as Hira Lal, son of Nand Ram of Ligri Pader and Rajesh Kumar, son of Brahmanand of Thakrai.
They were carrying the illicit liquor pouches to their native village for selling among the masses for illegitimate profits.
A case under FIR Number 127/16 under Section 48-A Excise Act has been registered at police station Kishtwar and investigation started.
Police team led by SHO Kishtwar Rakesh Sharma made the arrest under the supervision of DySP Headquarters Tousif Ahmed and SSP Kishtwar Sandeep Wazir.
