TWA urges Finance Deptt to release salary soon

JAMMU, Apr 7: President, Teachers Welfare Association (TWA), Jasmeet Singh Madaan has urged the Finance Department to release the salary grants of education employees as they are facing lot of difficulties in the ongoing COVID-19 crisis.
Madaan said that everybody in the higher echelons knows that the salary for the month of February of almost all the employees vanished in Income Tax deductions and in this hour of crisis, piling of stocks for essential commodities besides medicines and other miscellaneous expenses cannot be met out with empty pockets, so there was a dire need to release the grants immediately.
He said the teachers’ community is waiting in the wings to serve their country and Union Territory by getting their one day salary deducted for the welfare of people. The Association urged upon the Finance Department to release the grants of salary so that the single earning hand employees get a sigh of relief from economic crisis being faced by them in the present situation.
