Tukroo elected state secy of CPI

SRINAGAR, June 4: Former MLC and senior communist leader, Abdul Rehman Tukroo has been elected as state secretary of CPI.
In a statement, a spokesman of CPI said that besides Tukroo, a three member control commission and 17 members state council was also elected. He said the elections for the post of state secretary and other posts in the party were conducted during the state conference held here.
The spokesman said the conference was inaugurated by CPI National Council Secretary, Shameem Faizee. He criticized both the Union and State Governments for their alleged failure in controlling the price rise.
