RAMBAN, Mar 7: Ramsoo Police arrested a trucker and recovered 3 kilograms poppy straw from his possession.
As per police sources, during checking a team from Police Station Ramsoo intercepted a truck bearing registration number PB13X-9741, which was plying from Srinagar to Punjab.
During checking, police team recovered 3 kilograms poppy straw from the possession of the driver and arrested him.
The arrested person was identified as Gurpreet Singh, son of Dharampal Singh of Kupkhurd, Tehsil Malerkotta District Sangrur, Punjab.
A case under FIR Number 22/2022 under Section 8/15 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Ramsoo and investigation set into motion.
