JAMMU, Apr 4: Bahu Fort police arrested a trucker and recovered marihuana (ganja) and illicit liquor bottles.
As per police sources, on reliable information, a team from Police Station Bahu Fort laid a naka near Channi Puli and intercepted a truck number HR55S-7104 was stopped.
During checking, police team recovered 1 kilogram marihuana (ganja) and 32 bottles of illicit liquor from the vehicle and arrested the driver, who was identified as Rajesh Kumar alias Nagar alias Bittu, son of Das Ram of village Dhindey Khurd, Tehsil Bishnah, District Jammu.
A case under FIR Number 111/2021 under Sections 8/20/25 NDPS Act and 48 (a) Excise Act has been registered at Police Station Bahu Fort and investigation started.
Police team led by SHO Bahu Fort Inspector Deepak Pathania and assisted by PSI Adarsh Thakur made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO City East Bikram Kumar and Incharge SP South Adil Hamid.
