SAMBA, July 25: A truck loaded with coal rolled down near Charawa area of Mansar in district Samba today. The driver of the truck died on the spot.
According to police the mishap occurred at Samba -Mansar -Dhar road near Charawa area of Mansar in Samba district this morning when a truck bearing Registration Number PB07 AS 1216 loaded with coal was moving from Samba to Udhampur. On reaching near Charawa it suddenly rolled into a nallah after the driver lost control over the vehicle at a sharp curve. Truck driver died on the spot in the mishap.
The deceased has been identified as Avtar Singh, 40, son of Nisaan Singh of Satraiyan Daura, district Gurdaspur Punjab. His dead body was shifted to DH Samba for legal formalities.
The police has taken cognizance of the matter and started further investigations.
