JAMMU, Aug 17: Police seized a truck carrying 22 bovine animals to Kashmir near Sidhra on Jammu-Srinagar National Highway.
As per police sources, a police team from Sidhra Police Post laid a naka and intercepted a truck bearing registration number JKO2AT-8215 near Sidhra on Jammu-Srinagar National Highway.
During checking, police rescued 22 bovine animals and seized the truck, while the smugglers including driver of the vehicle managed to escape taking benefit of the darkness.
A case under relevant Sections has been registered at Sidhra Police Post and investigation started.
Police team headed by Incharge Police Post Sidhra Mohammad Arif made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO Nagrota Khalik Choudhary.
