RAJOURI, Nov 17: The police seized a truck loaded with 12 bovine animals in Thannamandi area while it was proceeding towards Kashmir via Mughal Road this evening.
Official sources said that a police party led by SHO Thannamandi, Inspector Nazir Ahmed Dar intercepted truck No. JK11A/ 2388 on the outskirts of Thannamandi town and found 12 milch animals loaded in it. While the driver and his associate, managed to escape, the police seized the truck and rescued the cattle which were being smuggled to Kashmir. A case FIR was registered in this connection. The police was looking for accused persons.
