JAMMU, June 27: A delegation of the Residents Welfare Society Trikuta Nagar met the Director Parks and Gardens, Babila Rokwl in her office chamber and apprised her about shabby condition of parks in the area.
The delegation, led by Er R N Kaw and comprising of Ashok Gupta, Ashok Sood and others, explained to the Director that the abnormally high grown trees without regular trimming (branch cutting) were contribute to the damage of property and sometimes even life. They urged her to ensure branch cutting of trees in parks before onset of monsoons.
The Director was also informed that the lights in park No 16 of Trikuta Nagar were non functional since many months while the wooden benches provided more than two decades back have overpriced their life & need immediate replacement. The Director was also requested to supply necessary manure and seasonal plants for the park on regular basis.
The Director instructed the concerned AE to visit the park and submit her report in consultation with the president RWS for further action.
