JAMMU, June 27: Sidhant Cricket Academy defeated Game Changer Cricket Club in a close contest in the ongoing Under-16 Summer Cup 40-Over League Tournament, being organized by Country Cricket Academy at Gharota, near here.
Batting first, Game Changer CC scored 176 runs. Sourav, Aprajit and Abhay scored 34, 26 and 24 runs respectively, while Suryansh and Vishwas chipped in with 18 and 15 runs respectively. For Sidhant Academy, Vansh and Kashav took 3 wickets each, while Yuvraj bagged 2 wickets. Dhananjay and Chitwan claimed 1 wicket each.
In reply, Sidhant Cricket Academy rode on magnificent unbeaten 78 runs by Dhananjaya and chased the target in the last over of the match. He was well supported by Vansh, who contributed valuable 35 runs. Achintya and Chitwan also contributed 17 and 16 runs to the total respectively. For Game Changer Cricket Club, Abhay bagged 2 wickets, while Abhinav claimed 1 wicket.
On the occasion, Sandeep Singh (Sunny), former Ranji Trophy Player interacted with the players, who lauded the efforts of Dhananjaya for his brilliant batting display, which fetched him man of the match award.
