JAMMU, July 29: Maintaining that Tricolour is sacrosanct to every Indian, Union Minister of State in PMO with Independent charge of North Eastern States, Dr Jitendra Singh today said that it will fly high in the J&K as much as it does in any other State of Indian Union.
In an informal chat with reporters here, before leaving for Rajouri to participate in BJP’s two day State Office bearers and State Working Committee meeting, Dr Jitendra Singh said the issue regarding Article 35 A is lying with Supreme Court and no one can comment on the same as it tantamount to contempt of court. “Whatever decision will be given by the Court of law has to be honoured by every body,” he added.

Dispelling all doubts about the unfurling of National Tricolour in the State, Dr Jitendra Singh said that J&K is an integral part of India like other States of the country and the unfurling of the National Flag will continue.
He said the only unfinished task before the Indian Government is to retrieve the part of J&K which is under the illegal occupation of Pakistan. “There is the unanimous Parliament resolution of 1994 to restore that portion of J&K,” he added.
Dr Jitendra Singh was responding to a question of media persons on the statement of Chief Minister, Mehbooba Mufti who reportedly had said that if there is any meddling with Article 35A people will not hold Tricolour in Kashmir.
In response to another question on statement of Chief Minister that arrest of separatist leaders in Kashmir will not solve the problem instead the dialogue process should be started with them, the Union Minister said “all of us must respect the law of the land and allow the agencies involved in maintaining the law and order do their job best of their wisdom.”
He said whatever decision taken by the NIA is in the larger interests of the nation and hence it needs no intervention. Home Minister of India is looking into it and “we hope that the action taken by NIA will reach to a decisive stage”, he added.
On the statement of Al-Qaeda a dreaded and banned terrorist outfit which has appointed Zakir Mussa as its commander in Valley that it will adopt Shariyat law in Kashmir, Dr Jitendra Singh said that for last some time a decisive action has been taken on borders which was witnessed never before. He said within Valley the terrorists and secessionists are also under tremendous pressure and the situation has changed in Valley as common man wants to become the part of national mainstream.
The youth of Kashmir don’t want to be deprived of the opportunities availed by the youth of other States of India so they too want to be part of mainstream, he said, adding many children from Kashmir valley qualified the IIT, JEE and Civil Service examinations with high merit as now they are well connected youth and are fully knowing whatever is happening outside the Kashmir.
Dr Jitendra Singh said that it is now “aspirational Kashmir ”and the youth are coming forward and expressing their feelings and aspirations. He said that they know that the separatists have misled them over the years.
In response to another question regarding misuse of Haj subsidy by separatists, the Union Minister said that the law of land will take its course as misuse of religion will not be acceptable neither Constitutionally nor democratically. The Hurriyat leaders are living in palatial houses and youth of Kashmir are much more aware than previous years and they can’t now be trapped in the dragnet of the separatist leaders. They are fully aware about the activities outside the Kashmir and don’t want to be deprived of the same, he added.
Lashing out at separatists and Hurriyat leaders, Dr Jitendra Singh reiterated that they are the separatists by connivance and not by conviction and all of them stand totally exposed now.
On Samjauta Express blast and allegations leveled by Congress leadership, Dr Jitendra Singh said that if Congress Party is sincere it should not avoid the debate and reveal what is truth. But there is a question mark on the Congress over this issue? “If they are sincere they have to explain to the 126 crore people of this country that what is the truth by participating in the debate in Parliament”, he added.
He said the common masses of the country have developed a trust in the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP president Amit Shah as the people know that they are honest and trust worthy.
Without making a direct comment on change of Government in Pakistan saying it is their internal matter, Dr Jitendra Singh, however, said that India is enough capable to deal with any situation and it is ready to face any eventuality.
