JAMMU, May 5: Rich tributes were paid to the 7th President of India, Giani Zail Singh and Sardar Jassa Singh Ramgarhia on their birth anniversaries today.
In this regard Shree Vishwakarma Library & Research Centre, New Plot organized an audio conference with its executive members.
Centre Chairman, Ram Lal while paying tributes to Giani Zail Singh talked about his life and said that he was known across the country for his simple and upright manner.
Members of the Centre also paid tributes to Jassa Singh Ramgarhia.
Balwant Kataria explained that Jassa Singh was a prominent Sikh leader during the period of Sikh Confederacy and was the Commander of the Ramgarhia Misl from 1716 to 1801.
Raman Chalotra talked about works of Jassa Singh and said that he constructed fort of Ram Rauni at Amritsar. Prominent among those who participated in the conference were Shashi Verma, Charanjit Chargotra, Om Kataria, Ramesh Angotra, Raj Kumar Chalotra and Balwant Kataria.
