Tributes paid to Brig Singh on ‘Memorial Day’

JAMMU, Jan 21: Rich tributes were paid to Brigadier Ghansar Singh one of the most decorated officer of the J&K Army today on his 25th death anniversary.
He has been bestowed by the honour of ‘Rai Bahadur’ for his daunting performance. This day is commemorated by the management and the students of BGS Public High School, Barnai, Jammu as the ‘Memorial Day’.
The education excellence achieved by Brigadier Ghansar Singh is recalled as the pioneer in achieving the Graduation in the Rajput sect in J&K.
The ‘Memorial Day’ of the Brigadier Ghansar Singh Public School’, started with prayers followed by a number of cultural programmes on a very decorative back drop of the school and staged which was decorated by the students and staff of the school. The students participated in quiz and debate competition.
The scholarships were granted to the meritorious and poor students. This part of the programme is the noble way to pay obeisance to the gallant officer of the State. The meritorious students were presented certificates of participation in addition to the winners.
The colourful and enthralling programme ended with national anthem and during the whole programme the gallants of Brigadier Ghansar Singh, his teachings, courage and his vision was highlighted which always happens to be source of inspiration.
