SAMBA, Mar 25: Sir Chottu Ram Jat Charitable Trust organized a program to pay tributes to messiah of farmers Sir Chottu Ram on his 137th birth anniversary at Thandi Khui in tehsil Vijaypur.
The function was presided over by Ram Narayan, President Jat Kalyan Sabha and a social activist from Rajasthan and the proceedings were conducted by PV Chikara.
The demands projected by most of the speakers included implementation of the 2000 crore package received from the Central Government for disbursement among the refugees of 1947, 1965, 1971 may be simplified, release the remaining amount of the package, declare the person killed in border farming as martyrs, reservation for border habitants, opening of central schools and hospitals in border areas, insurance of houses and belonging of border people, develop Suchetgarh Post at par with Wagha Border Punjab, compensation for land ahead of fencing, establishment of stadium and coaching centres on the borders and OBC status to jats.
On the occasion DC Ravinder Kumar was felicitated for exemplary success achieved under Beti Bachao Beti Padhao Scheme.
In the end Dr GL Choudhary presented vote of thanks.
