JAMMU, Sept 14: A programme to pay tribute to Dr Balraj Madhok, a visionary and revolutionary political as well as social leader, was organized on the bank of River Tawi near Vikram Chowk.
The programme was organized by his daughters to immerse some of his holy ashes in River Tawi, as they have decided to do so at different places along with local leaders of different walks.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr Ashwani Chrungoo and Dr Agni Shekhar termed Dr Madhok as a leader of accurate vision and said that his policies were relevant then and are equally now. They observed that solution given by Dr Madhok is the only way out for Kashmir trouble. They said paving way to create separate zone for nationalists in Kashmir valley was his dream upon which present Government should act upon.
Aditi Sharma, chairman, Aditi Welfare India, while expressing her views recalled that it was late Dr Madhok who in his book has written about 30 years ago that only way is to polarize or perish. Polarize in terms of nationalists and antinationalist and not in terms of caste, creed, color or region, she clarified.
Trustee, Shree Chandi Mata Trust, Bansi Lal Gupta termed Dr Madhok as legendary politician and added that top leaders of the day are using terms and techniques written in his books for becoming famous but forget to credit late Dr Madhok.
On the occasion, Chander Mohan Sharma, BJP vice president and Narian Dutt, BJP secretary, were also present.
It is important to mention here that similar programme would be held in Akhnoor and Leh, which will follow with ‘shardhanjali samarohs’ across Jammu.
