Tri-colour should permanently fly at Lal Chowk: SS

JAMMU Dec 16:  On the directive received from national president, Uddhav Sahib Thakeray, the J&K unit of Shiv Sena Bala Sahab Thakeray has urged the Prime Minister for permanently hoisting the National Flag at least 100ft tall at various  historical places of Jammu and Kashmir which include Dal Lake , Lal Chowk of Srinagar and Bage-a-Bahu  and Mubarak Mandi of Jammu.
Keeping in view the national interest and patriotism, the State president Dimpy Kohli and general secretary, Manish Sahni jointly addressing the media said that Shiv Sena State unit will shortly launch “Tiranga” yatra from Kashmir to Kanyakumari.
They also disclosed that a letter to this effect has also been sent to the Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, Chief Minister of the State, Mehbooba Mufti and Governor,  N N Vohra. Sahni said that Shiv Sena has also launched a  signature campaign about the hoisting of National Flag and one lakh such signatures will be sent to the Prime Minister.
Kohli said that the High Command has also assured to take up the matter in the ensuing parliament session. Sahni said that State president Dimpy Kohli and other senior leaders who proceeded to Srinagar to hoist the National Flag recently are getting threats over social media and warned of dire consequences.
A threatening letter in Urdu written by some miscreants sent to the State president’s residence, which informed the J&K police. Sahni said that the Shivsanik are so brave and bold and ready to face any challenge. On this occasion working president, Ashwani Gupta, senior vice president, Rajeev Bhandari, spokesman Rakesh Kak, Nathpal Chowdary, Raj Singh, Pawan Singh, Raju Salaria, Vikas Patel, Mangat Lakotra, Sanjeev Sharma, Vikas Bakshi and many leaders and workers of the party were present.
